Kennel Sponsorship
Soon you'll be able to sign up to sponsor one of CASA's many dog or cat suites or critter suite. This is a wonderful way for individuals or businesses to demonstrate their support for the homeless animals in our community. Your kennel sponsorship helps provide the animals with food, shelter, and care while they await their forever home. It is also a tremendous way to advertise your business, honor a loved one, and give back to your community.
Our sponsorships will be available for cat kennels, dog kennels, cat colony, and critter suite. They cover a 12-month period. A custom-engraved plaque will be displayed on the suite for an entire year. In addition, you will receive a certificate of appreciation for your gift.
Wish List
CASA maintains an up-to-date “Wish List” for the shelter. It is featured in our seasonal newsletter and also available online. You can always contact the shelter directly and ask for the most immediate needs.
We keep a current Amazon and Chewy wish list. You can buy cat and dog food, toys, supplies, and everything else.
Other Ways to Give
Create Your Legacy
With a planned gift to CASA, you can combine your desire to help animals in need with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. Whether you want to put your donation to work today or after your lifetime, you can find a plan that fits your needs. Life Insurance You can name CASA as the primary life insurance beneficiary or as a contingent beneficiary should other beneficiaries not survive you. To make this gift, contact your insurance carrier and request a beneficiary form. Will or Trust Making a gift through your will or revocable living trust is a simple and flexible way to save the lives of pets for years to come. Specific Gifts: You describe exactly what kind of gift you want to leave and designate the source. You can leave a specific dollar amount or a specific piece of property. Residuary Gifts: This type of bequest is honored after all other bequests have been made, and all debts, expenses, and taxes have been paid. Contingent Gifts: This type of bequest is fulfilled if certain conditions are met. For instance, if your primary beneficiary does not survive you, you can indicate your next choice through a contingent bequest. Bequest language: When naming CASA in your Will, you may leave a specific dollar amount, a set percentage of your estate, or a particular property. To include CASA in your Will, you must specify the proper name and street address. “I give to the Camano Animal Shelter Association, 198 Can Ku Road, Camano Island, WA 98282, federal tax ID 91-1913293 (the sum of $____ or ___% of the rest, residue and remainder of me estate) for its general purposes.” Retirement Assets A gift of your retirement assets, such as a gift from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred plan is an excellent way to make a planned gift to CASA. You can name CASA as the primary life insurance beneficiary or as a contingent beneficiary.
Give at Work
Workplace Giving Campaigns Many employers sponsor annual workplace giving campaigns through which employees can elect to make payroll deductions to selected charities. Encourage your employer to participate in such a campaign and see if CASA is a possible choice. Some companies contribute based on volunteer hours. What a convenient way to help the animals! Matching Gift Program If your company has a Matching Gift Program you could double, or even triple, your contribution to CASA just by teaming up with your employer. Many companies may also match volunteer hours or gifts from spouses and retirees. Check with your employer today to find out how you can designate the Camano Animal Shelter Association to receive company-matched gifts through your workplace. You can even have friends and relatives check to see what is available at their places of work.
