Mission
Bringing together animals in need and caring people, forever enriching their lives.
Vision
A world where every animal has a voice, proper care, safety, security, and is free from abuse and neglect.
Our Story
The Camano Animal Shelter Association (CASA) founded in 1998 is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3), managed-admission and no-kill shelter. We are small but mighty and dedicated to the welfare of animals in need. CASA accepts stray dogs and cats from Camano Island and owner-surrenders from Camano and beyond. Through a contract with Island County, we provide temporary care, boarding and redemption services for impounded/seized dogs from Camano Island. We assist other shelters by transferring in dogs and cats from crowded facilities.
CASA makes a lifelong commitment to the animals in our care. Once an animal enters CASA, there is no limit to the amount of time that animal can spend at the facility. We will always be here to provide counsel after adoption and provide shelter if they ever become displaced again.
Our Team
CASA has a small but mighty team of dedicated staff and volunteers working toward our mission of bringing together animals in need and caring people, forever enriching their lives.
